Identity / Potentials
The “Modern Bar with a Stage” is an art friendly Space with an aesthetic inspired by the simplicity and functionality of the bauhaus and the "aerodynamics" of the art deco, configured as a lounge bar-café with a projection screen in continuous creative flow. The space is decorated with modern works of art - mainly of large dimensions - it has a stage and hosts musical events and concerts, live acts and performances.
Design and Practicality
The aesthetics of the Space are influenced by modernism, simple and clean lines, functionality, geometric forms, the roughness of the surfaces (embossed concrete wall) of the bauhaus in combination with the aerodynamics and glossiness of the surfaces (bars) and the soft velvet fabrics (in the furnishings) of art deco. The "Modern Bar with a Stage" has an open plan configuration, it is spacious, decorated with large-scale artworks, with plenty of lighting options, a key element for a successful art exhibition as well as any other type of artistic event. Its stage is located next to the open and large windows that overlook an alley in the city centre, allowing the live act to be seen by the passing people.
For Events & Meetings The Space is available for staging corporate events (more specifically trade fairs, brand activation, fashion shows, or product launches). Special occasions (such as art exhibitions, galas, graduations, performances or recitals) and parties (corporate, graduation, concerts, festivals, cocktails, celebrations and kids parties) are among its ideal use cases.
The "Modern Bar with a Stage" has hosted various -cultural- events such as live performances, recitals and solos, improv, dance events, screening nights, readings / poetry sessions, art exhibitions. It is located at the centre of the city's alternative options, offering an artistic environment with modern design touches. Its stage acts as a factor of visibility to and from the main field where the “action” unfolds without sacrificing immediacy, while it is illuminated by colorful spotlights bringing atmospheric vibes to the fore of this Space. The loft can function as a gallery (check it via the virtual tour) and has been properly equipped having this functionality in mind.
*Note*
1. In the morning hours the Space is available as a ‘private hire' and after 18:00, when the bar opens to the general public, as a ‘non private hire’, you can request either its indoor space or outdoor space so that we can serve our habitue clients or cover for cases where we will have our own events running in parallel.
2. You can Bring Your Own DJ under the condition that there will be no trap kind of music, Greek traditional songs (dog style) or folk music playing since these types of tunes do not fit with our Venue identity. In case you wish us to bring the DJ for your event, an additional fee of +€50 euros will be incurred (VAT inclusive).
For Productions The "Modern Bar with a Stage" is a constantly changing statement with elements that reveal the creative and at the same time restless qualities of human nature. Its aesthetic decoration is inspired by the ongoing exhibitions which provides visibility of its distinctive mark, representing a state of constant “flow” / of embracing change and forward thinking. A scenery that artfully marries the pretentious with the abstract. You are more than welcomed to give it your own creative ‘push’.
