The “Front Yard of a Mansion” is the glorification of simplicity and elegance, a courtyard that provides you with the ideal perspective to enjoy the facade of the monumental mansion. If the picturesque courtyards of mansions, such as those depicted in retro Greek cinema or in books on the history of decoration and architecture, ignite your romance and creativity, then you have just found your dream courtyard for hosting your event. Against the backdrop of the imposing architecture and history of the building, the Space offers an open invitation to the general public adapted to the needs of the Space for modern events and in particular sophisticated events without debasing the atmosphere of its historical, architectural and aesthetical background.
Design and Practicality
The design and decoration of the Space follow the neoclassical style with modern, quiet but artistic additions. The monumental entrance staircase for the ground floor of the building functions as an artistic and aesthetic background of the Space. The floor is textured with a clean-cut decoration, with the dominant statement being the modern version of the outdoor steel perforated furniture that draws inspiration from the 50s and lends permeability, perspective and timelessness. The pastel colors in the furniture and the overall decoration are harmonized with the character of the facade of the building and intensify the romantic atmosphere. The discreet placement of plants scattered throughout the space offers the feeling of an oasis in the midst of the urban landscape.
The Space is accessible from a large central avenue, which, due to its width, offers an open horizon with a view of the sky and Thermaikos in the background.
For Events & Meetings The "Front Yard of a Mansion" as a Space is available for any type of event or meeting with a minimum number of 20 people in order to request a booking.
It is a sunny environment protected (through the large umbrellas that we have placed) from the sun's ultraviolet radiation, therefore events organised in the morning - lunch hours such as baptism or funeral receptions are favored. Also for the same reason you don't have to worry about the possibility of bad weather. In the evenings, the tables are filled with lanterns and the facade of the neoclassical building is subtly illuminated without creating light pollution, creating a mysterious - special environment that lifts the mood of those present.
Our drinks menu is designed to satisfy every need or mood including hot and cold drinks. In addition to a wide variety of beers - we exclusively have the lager beer "Maria Teresa" with its own barrel which helps to bridge the taste with the history of the Space and we higly recommend that you choose it for your event. You will also find countless wine labels as well as a special series that we developed in collaboration with the Vaeni Winery at the foot of Vermio Mountains where each letter of the greek word 'ΕΠΑΥΛΗ' (MANSION) corresponds to a bottle or glass of selected and enjoyable wine. Finally, you will also find imaginative Mediterranean cocktails, among which are also Greek suggestions included.
