The "Irish Rugby Pub" is not yet another pub in the city and that's because beyond a hangout of friends and fellow athletes - passionate about rugby and beer - a small sports accelerator was established with the ultimate goal of promoting sports such as Rugby, (ice) Hockey and Baseball and with the aim to financially back unpopular teams. When the pub actually opened, we saw that eventually there were many more groups (than sports teams) that needed support not only at the base of communicating their existence but also at the level of financial support and now the idea expanded even more to back up any group of active people who offer to the community. Our Space, therefore, is a meeting place and partnership of an active community that invites you to celebrate with fine Greek beers (we support local micro-breweries), explosive musical vibes and high sportsmanship for your every occasion. Design and Practicality
The aesthetics of the "Irish Rugby Pub" rightly claim the authenticity of a traditional Irish pub where it is dominated by dark wooden furniture, faded surfaces and matte finishes, earthy materials such as marble, checkerboard style flooring, limestone walls giving an old world, home atmosphere. The long history of pub culture is reflected in the quirky light fixture with beer marking the primary means of socializing, the hockey gear that proudly stands as an exhibit in the main entrance along with various other memorabilia related to the dynamic macho sports of rugby, hockey and baseball. The color palette is monopolized by dark green, a trademark of Irish pubs, the lighting is low and warm, the signs in the bar boldly declare the culture that pervades the Space, the television predisposes to epic sports nights, the frames depict iconic rock art forms music that defined a cultural era, and of course the selected frozen beers shielded in their barrels are waiting for you to enjoy them.
For Events & Meetings The 'Irish Rugby Pub' is available to host corporate events, selected special occasions (i.e. only graduation ceremonies, award ceremonies, art exhibitions, recitals), any type of party (e.g. celebrations, cocktail parties, festivals, bachelor parties, concerts), group meetings and dinners.
The TV is a Smart TV and connects wirelessly to any medium to be used for presentations, karaoke parties (microphones can be provided at an additional cost - see the Notes subsection). Included in its offered price is the sound equipment (with a console that can be used by your DJ, if you wish to Bring Your Own).
You can also make a reservation request for a 'Sub Space'. This can be either the booth or one of our outdoor sub spaces within the stoa (we will have to check which exact division may be available for your date). Each of the aforementioned ‘Sub Spaces’ has a capacity of 30 - 40 people in a standing arrangement and 10 - 12 people in a freestyle seating arrangement.
*Note*
1. If you intend to Bring Your Own DJ you will have to factor in the -additional- cost of having him hired.
2. On the menu there are options for vegetarians and upon request we can prepare delicious options for vegans as well.
3. Paid services: a) microphones will be charged at €25 each (VAT inclusive), b) grill - will be charged at €20 (VAT inclusive), c) if we have to bring the DJ for your event - will incur an additional fee of €50 (VAT inclusive)
4. Payment is in cash only
For Productions Our Space is a sports scene refuge - a tribute - to the themed sports that sparked the establishment of the pub. If you are looking for something that speaks to the hearts of Rugby, Hokey, Baseball friends (that we strongly support) then you have at your disposal the ideal location for your productions (upon request and further communication you could use our heirlooms as props).

1. Studio lighting equipment is included in the offered price. For an additional charge, anything else requested as a production equipment can be provided.
